Jenniece Roberts Morgan

Born: February 13, 1913

Died: August 28, 1983

Married Thomas Josh Morgan at the age of 16.

Children: Levon, born August 2, 1934, died at birth, Jo Ann, born July 27, 1947

Jenniece was the youngest daughter of the Roberts Clan. After her marriage to Josh, they built a house in the Chappell Hill Community and lived there the rest of her life.

She was a devoted caregiver and proved it by letting several different family members live with her at various times. She also took care of her Dad and his brother, Ben, for many years until their death.

In 1941, and Assembly of God minister came to Chappell Hill and conducted a revival in a brush arbor. She gave her life to Christ during this revival at the age of 28. From that day on her life was a Christian witness and ministry within itself. Josh bought her a Sears & Roebuck Silvertone guitar that she played for church services and family reunions. She was the first musician, secretary, and deaconess of the Grace Chapel Assembly of God Church. Josh would work all day, walk home by the church and light the lanterns (which everyone else was afraid of), walk on home, take a bath and eat supper (if he had time), and then walk back for the church services.

In 1970 Jenniece was stricken with Parkinson's disease. Her condition slowly worsened until she went home to be with her Lord in 1983.
